FREDERIK VILLMOW is a jazz drummer, composer and bandleader. He was born in 1993 in Cologne/Germany, has a master degree from Jazzlinja ved NTNU in Trondheim,
and currently lives in Oslo, Norway.

In 2019, he released his debut album as a bandleader, entitled Frederik Villmow Quartet feat. Tomas Franck – Live in Copenhagen,
recorded live at one of the finest jazzvenues in Europe, Jazzhus Montmartre. Since then he has released four albums as a bandleader and several
others as sideman, latest album: New York Session released on Heartbeat Music, which all gained positive reviews from International press as
from Japan Jazz Magazine, UK Vibe, Jazzthing & Jazz Life Japan.

He has worked/toured/recorded with a.o. David Kikoski, Nicole Glover, Alexander Claffy, Eric Alexander, Frode Kjekstad, Bjørn Vidar Solli, Mats Holmquist Big Band & Gabriel Pérez SoundTrip Orchestra featuring Chris Potter. For this concert he has gathered an top-notch quintet featuring Paul Heller on tenor saxophone, Peter Protschka on trumpet & flugelhorn, Clemens Orth on piano, Stefan Rey on bass and Frederik Villmow on drums.
The quintet will play compositions by Wolfgang Engstfeld, Paul Heller, Peter Protschka & Frederik Villmow.
